I will add to them only after careful consideration of your needs. They are all easily navigated and very descriptive with lots of examples. They are also not cluttered with all manner of commercial marketing. They are clean, content-filled and awesome.
The Khan Academy
The first I give you is The Khan Academy. It is an absolute wonder of short (10-20 min) tutorial style videos and practise sets supported by Bill Gates, his friend Sal and other IT experts and entrepreneurs giving time and expertise.
With a library of over 2,600 videos covering everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, art, and history and 229 practice exercises, they are on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace. The number of lessons delivered absolutely free is rapidly approaching 100,000,000. These pages will be a tremendous help as you go through high school.
If you need help in College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Math for the Sciences, or preparing for the math part of the general GRE, THEA or ACCUPLACER test, you have come to the right place. Note that you do not have to be a student at WTAMU to use any of these online tutorials. They were created as a service to anyone who needs help in these areas of Math.
The pages it contains hold hundreds of clearly indexed Math topics to suit all levels from high school. There are some excellent examples and worked solutions, all clearly laid out in easy to understand solutions, followed by practise questions with solutions. It, too, is an awesome facility; kindly donated by the University.
Paul's Online Math Notes
This is a fabulous site for the more Senior High School Math student body.
The pages are loaded with descriptive text and stacks of examples from introductory to challenging on dozens of topics within .the topics: algebra, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. The notes go from quite basic, through to more advanced. They are written in a clear and descriptive fashion so they are easy to read and easy to learn from.
It has some great review sheets (lovingly called 'Cheat Sheets') that have formulas and information from a large range of topics. There is a study guide for Math which I really liked; also a 'common math errors' page.
There is a live online group. Last time I checked there were 236 people online asking questions and giving help to each other. This is a great addition to the site.
An extra value is the link list which points to a lot more Math related sites.
Graph ( and loads of other pattern) Paper
Ever get caught short of graph or other specialist paper? You will find all sorts of graph paper but also lined, music and all manner of common and fairly hard to find lined paper. It is easy to change the thickness (weight) of the lines. Comes out as a PDF in a wide range of paper sizes. This site does have a few ads on it but the variety of papers you can print off is huge.
If you are stuck for paper that needs lines for graphs (not just linear), music, storyboards, calligraphy, perspective, and even a penmanship guide. Just about all you need is here.
